Brand Beginnings

When i fell pregnant i spent hours searching online to try and find Maternity clothes that were stylish, practical and affordable. I came across some relativley nice garments on some websites such as ASOS but being a young student who wanted to save every penny i could for my new arrival i felt that the clothing was too expensive, especially for something i would only be able to wear for nine months. The rest of the maternity ranges are aimed at 30 years + and thats when i decided that there needs to be more Maternity options available for 18-30 year olds who want to remain fashionable throughout their pregnancy. Although my brand is aimed at 18-30 year olds it is still available for 30+, i just want to target it at a younger audience as there is a definate gap in the market for that.
After i gave birth i then struggled to wear anything but leggings and a vest top because i could not find any clothing to support me comfortably after birth and practical clothing for feeding. This then lead me to decide that i wanted my brand to not only provide stylish and practical clothing throughout the pregnancy but also care for women after birth as this is a time, from my experience, when we feel most self concious and need that confidence boost.
I hope that if my brand is a success i can branch out into baby wear so that my brand can be something mums can rely on to provide them with everything they need clothing wise from the minute they fall pregnant, and they wont have to spend hours searching endlessly online like i did.
If you are a young mum or mum to be and you feel there is not enough maternity options available for you please share you thoughts and experiences with me so that i can get a better idea of what it is that you would most like to see from a new maternity range.

Thanks, Aimee.
